The One Love One Music Project was a pilot project on development towards becoming on a Non-Profit Organization serving the community of Anse-La-Raye and hopefully expanding to other communities as more resources and support are mobilized. The original Idea was inspired by the work of the late Petronilla Deterville MBE (for contribution to national, community and youth development) who was a national heroine, community leader, youth mentors and activist. music & arts educator who advocated and participated in using music and the arts for improving livelihoods (especially of vulnerable groups like grass-roots youth). After her death her sons Nathan Deterville and Johann "Yogidaproducer Deterville (Sony Records, Boi1da, Canada) developed this project.

  • Provided opportunity for unemployed school leaving youth (especially marginalized youth in grass-roots settings) to be economically self sustainable by training and nurturing skills in songwriting, recording, producing, voicing and other aspects of music and music production which are in demand in today's market
  • Providing opportunities for youth who would be excluded because of characteristics such gender or economic status (financial restraints). Inclusion.
  • Partnerships with government departments and other donors for grants, sponsorship and resource mobilization
  • Proposal and Grant Writing to Donors
  • Managed grant budgets of up $60,000 Dollars ECD for project development
  • Plans to partner with community schools to develop afterschool/co-curricular programs
  • Developed and initiated projects, managed costs and monitored performance.
  • Facilitated communication between internal personnel, contractors and vendors for project cohesion.
  • Relationships with material vendors to lower costs and diversify capabilities.
  • CASE STUDY: Producer currently running Studio 9/Ransum records, Desmond "RansumdaProducer" Auguste, was a ward of this project from a vulnerable single mother led family with four siblings. Started with no prior knowledge of music or sound-production/ engineering and low academic attainment. Now one of the leading producers in the Caribbean.
