Conducting general medical clinics at medical stations, health centres and other health institutions as scheduled
Delivering emergency medical care to patients managed in the emergency rooms at the health facilities
Conducting routine home visits for the patients registered by the area health facility
The House Officer is responsible for the day-to-day medical tasks required in the management of the patients and is assisted by the intern whom they supervise and teach; making sure that the interns perform their tasks efficiently and correctly.
Assist in Out-patient Clinics and in Operating Theatre.
Perform surgical procedures as may be warranted by the House Officer level of experience and training.
Perform daily ward rounds on all patients.
Perform duties during after-hours as determined by the Departmental Emergency or On-call Roster.
As a Senior House Officer I was also responsible for training and guiding the other junior House Officers.
